Fake licences, borrowed seals, and other footer fiction

Fake licences are rarely oil-paint forgeries. They are usually a real-looking seal, a number that belongs to a different company, or a PDF that expired in a different decade. The tell is not ugliness. The tell is that the register does not agree.

Borrowed UKGC numbers are the most dangerous in this catalogue’s neighbourhood because the Commission is the one register British players have been taught to trust.
